World Athletics extends Russia and Belarus ban

The global governing body for the sport decided on Tuesday to maintain the suspension on athletes from both countries, originally imposed since March 2022, due to the war in Ukraine. The measure will remain in place until further notice, Sebastian Coe confirmed at a press conference in London.
